Terms of membership

The plain-English agreement for joining Raising Greats: your account, payments, cancelling, and how we look after each other.

Last updated 29 October 2026

About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Raising Greats (“we”, “us”) when you join the community, buy a session, or use this site. By joining or buying, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your information.

Questions about anything here go to info@raisinggreats.com.

Your account

  • Accounts are for adults: you must be 18 or over to join.
  • Give your real name and an email address you can open. One account is for one person; please do not share it.
  • There is no password. We email you a link or a code each time you sign in, so anyone who can open your email can open your account. Keep your email secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has signed in as you.
  • We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk. If we do, we will tell you why.

Plans, payments and renewals

Our plans and prices are on the plans page. Prices include VAT where it applies. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

  • Monthly plans renew every month, and annual plans every 12 months, on the date you joined, until you cancel.
  • An annual plan costs less than twelve monthly payments because it is a 12-month commitment, paid up front.
  • One-off purchases, such as a single session, a 1:1, Mentor Match or Promote Your Business, are paid once and do not renew.
  • If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to you, so you can cancel first if you want to.
  • If a payment fails, update your card in Settings › Billing. Access to paid spaces may pause until the payment goes through.

Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel a monthly plan at any time from Settings › Billing. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • Cancelling an annual plan stops it renewing; you keep access until the end of the 12 months.
  • If you live in the UK, you can change your mind within 14 days of first paying for a plan. Write to us within those 14 days and we will refund you, less a fair amount for any part of the service you have already used, as UK consumer law allows.
  • A single-session ticket is non-refundable within 2 days of the session.
  • If a session you paid for is cancelled by us and not rescheduled, we will refund it.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in these terms. If something has gone wrong, write to info@raisinggreats.com and we will put it right.

How we look after each other

Raising Greats only works if every villager feels safe to ask, share and learn. When you post, comment, message or join a session:

  • Be kind and assume good intent. Disagree with ideas, never with people.
  • No harassment, bullying, hate or discrimination of any kind.
  • Protect children’s privacy. Never share a photo, name, school or story about someone else’s child without their parent’s permission, and think carefully before sharing your own.
  • What is shared in the community stays in the community. Do not copy other members’ posts or details anywhere else.
  • No spam, and no selling or recruiting without permission. To put your business in front of the community, book Promote Your Business.
  • Do not post anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.

Our hosts and moderators may remove posts, mute members, or close accounts to keep the community safe. If you see something that is not right, tell us.

Your posts, and our sessions

You own what you post. You give us permission to store it, show it to the members who can see that space, and keep it while it stays in the community. You can edit or delete your posts at any time.

Our sessions, recordings, guides and other materials belong to us or to the experts who made them. They are for you and your family to use; please do not share, sell or republish them.

Advice and children's sessions

Sessions, resources and posts share experience and general information. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. For decisions about your child’s health, development or safety, speak to a qualified professional.

Children may take part in sessions made for them, with a parent or guardian nearby. You are responsible for your child while they use the community through your account. Session times can change; the event page always shows the current time.

The shop and AI assistants

Books and merch are sold through our shop on Shopify. Orders there follow the shop’s own terms at checkout. Member discounts are shown in the community’s Shop.

If you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to your account, it can only do what you allow, and anything it posts is posted as you. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings › AI assistants.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the community running and safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms as the community grows. If a change matters to you, we will email you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not agree. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
