About Raising Greats

Built by a mother who learned the hard way that information opens doors.

Kike Agoro

Founder, Raising Greats

I grew up in East London, raised by my mum alongside my two brothers. When I was 16 our family went through a crisis, and I still came out of my GCSEs with 8 A*s. Sport gave me a second language: I represented Great Britain as a junior javelin thrower.

I went to Nottingham with a fractured back and still graduated with a 2:1 in Economics, then took a full athletic scholarship to the University of Florida for my master's. Harvard had scouted me, and I missed it. Not for lack of ability, but because nobody around me knew how that process worked. It taught me the lesson this community is built on: the greatest threat to success is the information you do not have.

I interned at Goldman Sachs, Barclays and Citi, often as the only Black person in the room. In 2016, at 24, I started BYP Network so fewer people would walk into those rooms alone. It grew to 200,000 members in more than 100 countries, working with 1,700 corporate clients.

In 2021 I lost my mother while I was pregnant with my daughter, and I named her Yetunde, after her grandmother. Raising Yetunde and her brother Rio, I keep thinking about everything my mum did without a map: no network, no inside information, no village. Raising Greats is what I wish had existed for her. It is what I am building for you.

The mission

Six dimensions. One great child.

We help parents and guardians raise children who are ready for a world that AI is rewriting. Every webinar, children's session, resource and activity in the community maps to one of six dimensions: leaders, innovators, go-getters, thinkers, empathetic kids and all-rounders. Together they cover what a classroom rarely has time for: character, confidence, curiosity and a network that opens doors, for every family whatever their school, country or background.

The Founding Village

The first families through the door.

Our first cohort of villagers joined before there was much to join. They shaped the sessions, wrote the first posts, and still welcome every new family. Each carries the Founding Village badge on their profile.

The Founding Village is being gathered

Members of the first cohort appear here once their profiles are published.

The next generation is watching. *Be intentional.*
